The Office of Adult Students and Extended Services (OASES) advising mission is to assist adult and nontraditional students in developing and implementing individual plans for achieving their academic and career goals. Let us help you develop your academic plan, identify interests and career goals, choose a program of study, and select resources that support student success!

Students We Serve: Adult students 24 years of age and nontraditional students, students admitted through the Adult Student Admissions Program (ASAP), 49er Finish Program students, readmitted former students, newly admitted veterans, students transitioning between majors, and prospective students.


OASES advisors are accessible by telephone (704-687-5104), email (, in person or virtual (Zoom or Google Meet) appointments. Walks-in are welcome Monday through Friday during office hours.

Current students that have an advisor in OASES should schedule an appointment in Connect (please select your location as OASES Virtual Advising or OASES Barnard 106 for an in person appointment. Face coverings are appreciated for face to face meetings).
