Robert and Jan-Rae Hall Scholarship

Robert is an alumnus of York Technical College with Associate Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Tool Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UNC Charlotte, and an MBA from the University of Dallas, accredited by AACSB. Robert attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for Advanced Management.

Currently, Robert holds the position of Senior Director of Continuous Improvement at Amesbury Truth. Additionally, he is the Founder of Halken, Inc., where he focuses on developing artificial intelligence solutions for manufacturing systems. Robert has actively contributed to his alma mater, serving as a former member of the York Technical College Foundation Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the York Technical College Alumni Connection Advisory Board.

Jan-Rae is an alumna of UNC Wilmington, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She continued her education at UNC Wilmington, earning a Master of Science in Accountancy. Jan-Rae is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of North Carolina.

Right from the beginning, Robert and Jan-Rae shared a common vision of making a positive impact through education and leadership. They are generous benefactors of the Robert and Jan-Rae Hall Endowment at UNC Charlotte, which provides scholarships to non-traditional students, covering tuition, books, fees, and other expenses associated with attending the university. Additionally, the Halls are the primary supporters of Shepherd’s Home of Servant Leadership in Batangas, Philippines. This organization offers programs to equip Christian leaders for their communities and churches in the Philippines and worldwide.

Both Robert and Jan-Rae are passionate advocates for breast cancer awareness and research, actively supporting these causes.
